Context
Popcorn lets movie and OTT fans post reviews with photos, video or voice notes, follow friends, keep watchlists ('Current Picks' and 'Binge List'), read news, and reward great reviews with popcorn kernels like 'Classic Golden' and 'Controversial Caramel'.
What I built
- 01Three apps (API, web app and admin), about 560 commits
- 02Automated TMDB catalogue ingestion: daily genre sync and new-title discovery every five minutes, with month-by-month progress tracking and admin toggles
- 03Rich-media reviews stored on DigitalOcean Spaces with signed URLs
- 04Social graph, global and friends feeds, reviewer tiers, notifications and support tickets
- 05Admin console for catalogue, moderation, news, banners and a cached stats dashboard
