Context
RodBez runs one-way, rental and tour cabs, airport and railway pickups, and village-to-city rides across Bihar. I lead technology and product, and I'm the main author of the core backend, which carries roughly 85% of its commits: the booking, pricing, driver, vehicle and city-service domains, built from the ground up.
What I built
- 01Real-time ride matching and driver dispatch: live driver locations and geo-search on Valkey GEO, booking-to-driver assignment, route-diversion tracking, auto-accept and cancellation flows
- 02RIA (RodBez Intelligent Assistant): an AI assistant for the ops team and fleet operators that works with Claude, Gemini, OpenAI and Groq. It calls tools for analytics, bookings, customers and fleet data, uses a RAG store, and asks for confirmation before taking any action
- 03Three payment gateways end to end (Razorpay, Cashfree, PhonePe) with webhooks, refunds and a customer wallet
- 04Communications layer: WhatsApp and SMS notifications, OTP login and a grievance ticketing system
- 05Observability and hardening: OpenSearch booking search, New Relic, LaunchDarkly feature flags, BullMQ jobs, cron, Jest integration tests and Swagger docs
- 06rb-operations, the Next.js ops dashboard for live bookings, cities, fleet, payments, leads and reports, plus a mapping and live-tracking micro-service (Google Maps, Mappls, Ola Maps)
- 07A versioned shared UI library (shadcn/Tailwind) on its 4th major release, used across 5+ internal apps
- 08Containerised a ~15-service architecture into a one-command local environment; built a Workplace HR, payroll and inventory platform in under two weeks
